The Iranian News Agency reported that the general outlines of the text of the memorandum of understanding do not currently include any agreement on the nuclear file, stressing that Iran will not make any new commitments, and that its peaceful nuclear program will not undergo any change under the memorandum. The agency noted that negotiations on the nuclear program will take place within 60 days of signing the memorandum to end the war. She pointed out that the references contained in the memorandum of understanding regarding the nuclear program do not impose any new obligation on Iran, explaining that what was stated in this regard only obligates Iran not to develop nuclear weapons. The agency confirmed that the negotiations will be conducted within Tehran's principles, with an emphasis on Iran's right to enrichment and the remaining of enriched materials inside the country. She continued: “Contrary to what is circulating in Western media, Iran will not commit to giving up management of the Strait of Hormuz,” explaining that “if the current text of the memorandum is signed, the United States pledges to oblige Israel to end the war in Lebanon.” She also noted that "the current text does not include the phrase 'extending the ceasefire', but rather ending the war completely on all fronts."
